Compensated NSF Seminar Series on Rapid Prototyping and Collaborative Design Faculty Training
New Formats for 2007 … New Dates… Jul 11-17, 2007
Come join us on July 11, 2007 through July 13, 2007. During these 3 days you will experience immersive hands on tools relating to RP and Collaborative design communications.
Travel back to home or the office and join use via webinars on July 16 and July 17, 2007. Some additional topics will be covered online in addition to time for team based design projects that were introduced in the face to face sessions. During the week your team will be required to finalize the project by July 22, 2007 and submit it up to the shared server space for everyone to see your design solution.
Compensation will be $100 per day per participant for both onsite and webinar attendance. Meal allowances will be provided for the days the participants will be onsite.
Software donations of current releases of Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks software will be provided to each participant. Additional tools and materials will be included in the participant package.
Our on-site seminar locations are in Dayton, Ohio at Sinclair Community College and on the west coast, north of Los Angeles at Ventura College in Ventura, California.
Topics for the onsite and remote seminars will include:
- Internet based communication tools and equipment
- RP Tools and equipment
- How to create authentic learning tasks
- Classroom instruction using online tools
- Curriculum development for RP technologies
